Project Censored (http://projectcensored.org) has a long history of telling us what is not news. That is, seemly important items that never get seriously addressed by the mainstream press. Here are a few choice items from there top 25 for 2012.

• http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/9-government-sponsor... —While weather modification attempts are not new, this caught my eye as the weather has been stranger than usual recently.
• http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/13-will-a-state-of-e... —The last time there was mass detention of US citizens was during World War II but there seem to be all the things in place to do it again. This time it is not going to be folks with Japanese ancestors.
• http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/15-big-polluters-fre... the other way in the case of big polluters is one thing but the government giving them stimulus money is a bit out there.

There is so much more. More important is why these types of stories are not big news.
