Thrive

Last night I watched Thrive with Ana and with my niece. We were, of course, watching the version in Spanish which probably leveled out our comprehension ability. That is, I know the story and the technical stuff better than they but had to work harder to understand the language.

If you have seen the currently existing three Zeitgeist movies then you know most of the story. I say most because there is some interesting information in the beginning that seems to connect ancient cultures which surprised me.

Thinking About a Resource-Based Economy

I have recently read Looking Forward and other writings by Jacque Fresco (http://www.TheVenusProject.com) and re-watched The Zeitgeist Addendum in an attempt to connect the dots regarding an alternative to the failing money-based economy. Fresco, in particular, is saying that we need to transition to a resource-based economy. While one needs to do a lot of reading to understand what this really means and why it could actually work (which I encourage), here is a short introduction so you can at least understand what I am talking about.

Zeitgeist Addendum

There are two movies here, one called Zeitgeist and the other Zeitgeist Addendum. They are available for free on the Internet or you can buy them on DVDs for $5. The advantage of the DVD is that it has subtitles in a bunch of languages. Apparently, the DVD also has the movie dubbed in Spanish.

If you feel something is wrong with the world/the way the world is going, I highly recommend watching at least Zeitgeist Addendum. Is it political? No, it is actually anti-political.
