I found Looking Forward by Kenneth S. Keys, Jr. and Jacques Fresco a very interesting read. Partly for its intended purpose and partly because it was a look at the 21st century written almost 50 years ago.

Part I of the book deals with what is possible. While there are some solutions they propose that have so far proved to be not a good soltuion, the concepts are right on. They put a lot of effort into showing us what is wrong socially and politically that creates problems and wastes resources that, if used correctly, could give us the 21st century they describe.

I have been reading the book The Final Empire by Wm. H. Kötke which is available as an inexpensive ebook from Author House. While my motivation to read it was because it seems like the authoritative reference for the book Garden Planet by the same author, it has offered a lot of insights into other areas. Life Cooperates is a sub-heading in a chapter titled The Principles of Life.

Baruffa and Carlos have a new family. Three "children". Now, Baruffa and Carlos are Samoyeds so, right now, we have three little round babies that are transitioning from looking looking like little pigs to little polar bears. They are eight days old today.
