Dog eBooks

Baruffa and Carlos have a new family. Three "children". Now, Baruffa and Carlos are Samoyeds so, right now, we have three little round babies that are transitioning from looking looking like little pigs to little polar bears. They are eight days old today.

A couple of days ago Ana asked me "when will they open their eyes"? I said "a week or so" so, yesterday, she said "it's been eight days and they haven't opened their eyes. First, you need to understand that in Nicaragua, when you are talking to someone on a Saturday and they say "let's talk in eight days" that means next Saturday, not next Sunday. Apparently zero didn't exist in Natuahl (the native language here before the Spanish came to rape and plunder). :-) OK, that was just an aside for your international eduction. Now, on to the real subject.

I decided to look for some information on when puppies open their eyes with, if possible, emphasis on Samoyeds. While I didn't find the specifics, I found what I think is a great deal on a lot of good information. First, I found Teach Your Dog 100 English Words. It is available as an eBook for only $14. But, the author, Michele Welton, has written a bunch of other dog books as well. A set of six different books is available as eBooks for a total of only $19.

I haven't read them all yet but I have read enough to consider it a great value. The books are easy to read, presented in a very conversational manner. But, on the other hand, there is a lot of valuable information presented. For example, there is one PDF that contains three books about dog health. It includes typical health issues for 165 breeds of dogs. An amazing resource.

Another book is about dog intelligence. It includes a series of tests to test your dog's intelligence. The tests are easy and sound like a lot of fun. Without even doing them it is pretty clear that Carlos is going to do very well on them.dog

OK, enough promotion. I'm not getting paid to sell her books but, if you have a dog, I think they are a great investment. You can find all the info on her web site at Your Purebred Puppy.
